Quality assurance (QA) can be both a role and a mindset.

As a role, QA refers to the specific tasks and responsibilities of individuals or teams responsible for verifying the quality of a product or service. These tasks may include testing the software to ensure that it meets the specified requirements and specifications, identifying and reporting defects or issues, and working with development teams to resolve any problems.

As a mindset, QA refers to a focus on quality and continuous improvement throughout the development process. This mindset involves actively seeking ways to improve the quality of the product or service, identifying and addressing potential issues early in the development process, and striving for excellence in all aspects of the work.

In both cases, QA involves paying attention to detail and being diligent in ensuring that the product or service meets the necessary quality standards.
